Presentations that make students WILD about reading!

School visits from the authors and illustrators of

What the Sleepy Animals Do at the Audubon Zoo.

We offer two 45 minute interactive presentations which are ideal for large groups. Both presentations begin with a reading of the book.Learn More
The authors will guide the audience through the elements of a story as we write our own children’s book together. One of the illustrators will draw the story as we go, and the school will be left with the keepsake of the book they’ve created. We also create a digital edition of the book that you can print and share with your families. Ideal for 2nd through 5th grade.Learn More
Teachers will select three students to test their animal knowledge as they play “Who Wants a Bunch of Bananas?” The audience helps by calling out answers as contestants win actual bananas. The authors use their backgrounds in on-stage comedy to create a funny, lighthearted experience for the audience and contestants. Ideal for 1st through 3rd grade.Learn More
For a more intimate experience, we can read to one or two classes at a time in the library or a classroom. We usually do several class reading in one school visit.  Each reading lasts about 15 minutes. Class readings are suitable for Pre-K through 3rd grade.Learn More

monkey70When we read, kids laugh, do the robot, and roar like tigers. It will change the way they interact with books, and your students will learn how to get wild about reading.
giraffe70We don’t talk about writing. We get kids writing. In our storytelling and illustration presentation, students will hear, see, and use the core elements of writing fiction on the spot.
Our gameshow presentation inspires wonder about the animal kingdom through crazy facts and exotic creatures. The level of commitment and innovation that we bring to our visits puts us ahead of the herd.
elephant70Students get the most from our visits when our book is incorporated into lesson plans and reinforces their curriculum. That’s why we provide teachers and media specialists with tons lessons, worksheets, and activity ideas that relate our books to a variety of common core standards from Pre-K through 5th.

aligator70Our visits run smoother than a llama’s coat. We’re happy to work with you to tailor our visit to your needs, and we’re ready for those unexpected changes. If you’ve never booked an author visit before, we’ll let you know what to expect and help you through each step of the planning.

Every single detail about the book and presentation was spot on. Thank you for sharing your talent and enthusiasm with my two lil boys… For the duration of the program tonight I knew the audience was in good hands.
…their presentation was fun, informative, and entertaining! The kids were enthusiastic because they presented it so well, and the facts about animals went right along with what we are studying in our Science curriculum, particularly our animal unit!

Just wanted to let you know that we had lots of parents/grandparents on campus Wednesday… and so many of them commented on how much they enjoyed your book and presentation. Even this morning, a parent stopped me in the office to say they have read the book every night this week!
Ryan sure made a HUGE impact on Jack… He has inspired Jack to write his story and he truly feels it will get “published”. … Ryan and Grace… certainly made a difference in the eyes of one little boy! I can honestly say that their book is one of the best (and cutest) books I’ve seen.
